Hi friends. 

I am Holger I am german and also searching for a room for me and my friend in Dessau. Last week i went there and visited some available rooms in shared flats (called ‘wg’) from www.wg-gesucht.de. But the problem this year is that much more students start to study rather than finishing university. 

So the situation you have to expect is to live in a hotel/hostel or use www.couchsurfing.org for a few days and then open new shared flats with other searching students. 

Many interesting apartments are available here:

The good areas for students are in ‘Nord, ‘Mitte’ and ‘Siedlung’.
